REGISTRATION

The Northern Inuit & Wolfalike Registry 
( N.I.A.W. ), strives to uphold best practices for the breeding of Northern Inuit Dogs & Wolfalikes worldwide.
As such, all breeders are required to register their kennel and renew their breeding contract annually at a cost of £10

All registered breeders are required to adhere to the published Breeding Regulations contained within the Code of Ethics.

In order to register any individual litter a breeder must adhere to Breeding Regulations contained within the Code of Ethics.
Registration costs £10 per puppy and will include at least a 4gen pedigree and a certificate of registration to the N.I.A.W
 
 The NIAW Code of Ethics for registered breeders and stud dog owners is a breeders contract
By using our services ( registration, kennel,listing & stud dog listing) an NIAW breeder & stud owner agrees to the NIAW breeders contract and is subject to updates without notice. It is the responsibility of the breeder to familiarise themselves with any changes or updates.

1. I shall treat my dogs with dignity and respect at all times.

2. I shall maintain thorough records on my dogs and their progeny. I will share all information regarding the health of my own dogs and any bred by myself to the NIAW as well as contributing all relevant information to the wolfalike database.

3a. I shall strive to select all breeding pairs by reviewing each dogs faults and virtues including conformation, temperament and genetic health.
Taking into account
- Any known ailments in lineage or related dogs.
- COI reports 
 (recommended: genetic embark)
-Specific breed risks on all prospects being considered for breeding.

b. I will not use any bitch or stud dog that is known to have developed a health problem.

c. I will not repeat a litter with known health issues.

4. For all puppies and dogs i shall agree to provide
a. in house living enviroment
b. good socialisation system recommended puppy culture
c. health care, exercise and nutrition.

5. I shall ensure that all puppies will remain with the breeder and their mother until a minimum of 8 weeks of age.

6.a. I shall not sell/buy puppies or dogs from pet shops ( either outright or on consignment) or in any illegal areas/states/counties.

7.a. I shall contact the NIAW if i find myself with an unplanned mating, as soon as i am aware or as soon as pregnancy has been confirmed regardless if i wish to register with NIAW or not.
b. i shall inform NIAW if any matings with any NIAW registered dog regardless of registry with NIAW both prior to and post registration.
c. If breeding outside the NIAW i agree to uphold the standards and ethics according to the NIAW.

8. I shall notify the NIAW of any dogs in need of rehoming and will keep the NIAW updated with any new owner information for registry purposes.

9.a. I shall allow my retired breeding dogs to spend their entire retirement with me. if exceptional circumstances do not allow this, I will inform the NIAW of the reasons and look for a suitable retirement home. NOTE - new breeding stock is not an exceptional circumstance.
b. I will ensure my retired dogs will no longerbreed within or without NIAW or any other club/registry/society and in the event of rehoming will be neutered or spayed prior to leaving me.

10. I shall always strive to be an exemplary representitive of the NIAW on socual media and refrain from criticizing, bullying or harrasing my colleagues.
Differences in opinion or belief shall be resolved privately in a respectful way or with the involvement of the NIAW in private.

Breeders who register with NIAW agree to Breeding Regulations & Code of Ethics.
Any who fail to adhere to these guidelines will recieve the following for each point broken:

.First offence : formal warning
. Second offence: expulsion from NIAW
